The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) recently hosted a discussion about diversity of thought in (social) science. It was led by Frédéric Basso. He argued that the concept of diversity implied the existence of a reference point, a standard, against which everything else is compared. Whatever is standard defines what we call diverse.
